Posts are your way of communicating with your congregation on a regular basis. Churches can use posts within feeds to provide a way of watching the latest recorded sermon, it can provide your pastor with a way to have a blog, or you can even schedule daily devotionals to appear in a feed for your congregation to view. You can add a Post to newly created or existing Feed pages using the steps below:
- Go to your Feed page and click on Edit Page. This will allow you to create a new post.
- Enter in the Post Name and enter in any additional content that you would like to add.
- Set the status of the post in the drop list at the bottom left-hand corner of the post window. Draft will set it in to draft status, which means it will not yet be visible to the public. Scheduled will allow you to set the date and time this post becomes visible to the public. Until that point, the post will be in draft status. Published means as soon as you save this post, it will be visible to the public.
- Click on Create to create the new post. Once you do this the post will be created.
Once the post has been created it will be added to the existing list. When you click back on the post you will be able to make changes to the Status, Published Date and the selected Feed. When you initially turn edit mode on, you will see the options to change how the feed looks (posts per page) and rules for the feeds post.
