Google Analytics is a free tool that helps you serve your site’s visitors better. You can see how many people are visiting your site for the first time and understand how well you’re reaching out to them by seeing what information they look at most. You can even see what other websites are bringing visitors to your Church360° Unite site so you know to focus your advertising efforts. Google Analytics can also show you how long people are staying on your site and how to make your most important pages even better.

A new revision called Google Analytics 4 will eventually replace the current Universal Analytics tool in mid-2023. Until Universal Analytics is officially sunset on July 1, 2023, your Unite site will be able to accept both tools for capturing analytics for your site. After that date, you will need to migrate your GA account to Google Analytics 4 in order to continue to use its services.

For more information on migrating properties, please visit Google's guide on the topic here.

To set up Google Analytics,

  1. Visit google.com/analytics and click on “Sign In” or “Create an Account” (if you already have a Google account, you can sign in using that).
  2. Once you get signed in, you will receive a Tracking ID that will be in the format of UA-XXXXXXXX-X or G-XXXXXXXXXX.
  3. On your Unite site under Settings, go to the "Google Analytics" tab and enter the Tracking ID number into the “Account Number” text box.
  4. Check the box next to “Enable Google Analytics” and click “Save Changes.”

As users visit your site, you will be able to see that information within your Google Analytics Account.
